“Welcome” to the website of the Cathedral and Church Shops Association, known as the CCSA.

The Cathedral and Church Shops Association provides a forum for exchange of information amongst its members. It arranges a programme of events and meetings each year and advice is freely available to help with setting up and running a shop, of any size, in a Cathedral or Church.

Shops in Churches and Cathedrals help to extend the ministry of their Church by providing a service to both pilgrims and visitors. Their profits make a valuable financial contribution to their religious site. 

To ensure this, they need to be effectively operated and supported. Our organisation aims to help with this.

The CCSA is non-profit making and is the only organisation which exists solely to support the Church’s work through retailing, by working with Retail Managers at member religious sites with retail space to bring together experiences and best practice in raising funds to help and support Churches and Cathedral sites for mission and ministry in the UK and other sites worldwide.

The CCSA has over 100 plus members from all parts of the UK and beyond and is non-denominational.

We can help members in lots of ways:

• Help detail what is involved with all retail aspects through a retail manual, educate and offer training 
• Support and provide networking opportunities and extend good communication between Members and Suppliers
• Sharing and facilitate information between CCSA Members
• Suggest how to help to raise the profile of the Member sites
• An Annual Conference and Trade Fair event
