Shops in churches and cathedrals help to extend the ministry of the church by providing a service for both pilgrim and visitor. Their profits make a valuable financial contribution to their church. To ensure this, they need to be effectively operated. Our organisation aims to help.
The Cathedral and Church Shops Association provides a forum for exchange of information amongst its members. It arranges a programme of events and meetings each year and advice is freely available to help with setting up and running a shop in a cathedral or church.
The CCSA is non-profit making and is the only organisation which exists solely to support the Church’s work through retailing. It has over 120 members from all parts of the UK and beyond, and is non-denominational.
